The 8th Workshop on Cofiring Biomass with Coal will be held at the Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the 11-13 September 2018, with sponsorship from COWI.

The workshop starts on Tuesday 11 with a visit to a local power plant, after which we have a welcome reception. This is followed by two days of technical sessions and keynotes from leading figures in the industry. Our event offers an excellent opportunity for delegates to mix with other people from government agencies, regulators, utilities, consultants, equipment suppliers and academia.

TOPICS TO BE ADDRESSED:

Cofiring 8 will cover all topical issues on cofiring biomass with coal, and papers are invited on any aspect of the subject.

As China, India and South Africa are keen to expand their cofiring, we especially welcome knowledge transfer to help them use farm and forestry wastes rather than wood pellets, as well as supportive policies from a developing country perspective. Large scale demonstration projects of cofiring in coal-fired power plants are always well received at our workshops.

In order to facilitate open discussion and maximise networking opportunities, we have a limited number of spaces for attendees. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our previous workshops in this series have been very popular and places sold out quickly. Early registration is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.  Deadline for site visit tickets is 31st of August.

VISA APPLICATION

For delegates who need a visa to enter Denmark, please contact us as soon as you have paid for your registration. We are happy to arrange the visa application letters for you. We recommend you send your visa application details to us as early as possible, to avoid delays over the summer holidays.
